What is Job satisfaction?
Job satisfaction is commonly associated with the ease of working, including factors such as benefits and the working environment. In recent years, many companies have made significant strides in improving "Ease of Working" through "Work Style Reforms" initiated by the Japanese Government.
However, it is equally important to address the concept of "Worthwhile" in job satisfaction. We believe that true job satisfaction lies in creating an environment that has both elements of "Ease of Working" and "Worthwhile". A "Great Place to Work" tends to have higher job performance compared to companies that focus solely on "Ease of Working".

It is important to note that job satisfaction and its connection to business performance extend beyond large companies. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have a unique opportunity to embrace job satisfaction as part of their growth strategies, especially considering the increasing attention given to job satisfaction within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As the SDGs gain global attention, it is crucial for both large and small companies to assess their commitment to these goals. SDG initiatives can serve as growth strategies for SMEs, presenting an opportunity to align job satisfaction with sustainability objectives. By fostering a work environment that is both "Ease of Working" and "Worthwhile", companies can enhance job performance and contribute to their overall success.
The Great Place to Work Institute conducts surveys categorizing job satisfaction into two types: "Ease of Working," which focuses on work-life balance and a positive working environment, and "Worthwhile," which emphasizes trust, pride in work, and strong relationships with management. The results reveal that companies that prioritize "Worthwhile" aspects tend to outperform those that focus solely on ease of work.
We believe that job satisfaction is a multidimensional concept encompassing both "Ease of Working" and "Worthwhile". It is not limited to large corporations but also holds significance for SMEs. By embracing job satisfaction and aligning it with SDGs initiatives, businesses can unlock growth opportunities while creating a positive impact on employees and society as a whole.

In approximately 100 countries around the world, GPTW publishes the results of its survey on job satisfaction as "Certified Best Workplaces" and the top companies as "Best Workplaces" in its "Best Workplaces" ranking.

Why did we participate in the Great Place to Work Research?
Our corporate philosophy is to be a group that pursues the material and psychological well-being of all of our employees and continues to convey unlimited possibilities to those we encounter. We have continued to manage our business to realize our corporate philosophy. We participated in this survey because it would be a good opportunity to find out how well our corporate philosophy is being realized. We have been participating since 2019 in order to learn the results of the survey and further improve our company.

Numerous initiatives are being implemented under a consistent company philosophy, and many of the initiatives show a willingness to involve and implement employees. The company has a strong sense of employee bonding. All employees also indicated that the company is a great place to work.

By using the vision sheets in my own company, we have been able to discuss how employees want to grow and how the company and I can support them. If the direction that employees want to go and the direction that the company is going are the same, we can walk together on the same vector. As a result of adopting the vision sheets, employees and the company feel that we are moving forward together. I’m just getting started using vision sheets, but I’m seeing wonderful progress!
